I founded Kate Blaschka Aged Care Consulting as a result of my own journey caring for older family members and trying to navigate my way through the aged care and health care labyrinth. ​One of the toughest parts was that the burden of caring and trying to source care took me away from my family for hours and hours, just when time was at its most precious. As a fully fledged member of the “sandwich generation” I know first hand how much harder this gets when you are raising a family at the same time.​ My skills as a Chartered Accountant, gained in a career spanning 24 years give me confidence in understanding the financial aspects of finding care, as well dealing with large businesses and government organisations. At the same time my lived experience as a carer helps me understand just how overwhelming and time consuming the process can be.  I firmly believe that there are no right or wrong answers to the aged care riddle – everyone’s circumstances, values and preferences are unique. My highly personalised approach lets you choose and structure services from my business to best meet your needs and budget. My goal is to ease the burden carers and family members carry when grappling with the demands of providing care, accessing services and navigating red tape, and achieve better outcomes than they would on their own, both financially and in terms of time saved.
